CoachingSeafarers
A coach's site whose job is not to impress everyone — it is to find the few officers who are ready, and turn the rest away early.

The problem
The client is a Master Mariner and DP instructor who coaches senior deck officers on leadership, promotion and the move ashore. His audience is small, specific and sceptical of anything that sounds like motivational speaking.
Turn a visitor into either a subscriber or an application, and make the coaching concrete enough that the first call starts from substance rather than explanation.
The challenges
- Coaching is an intangible product, so the page has to make the work visible before anyone will pay for it.
- The audience is niche and highly practical: anything that reads as corporate jargon loses them in a sentence.
- The wrong enquiries cost the client more than no enquiries, because every one becomes a call.
- The service is professional coaching, not therapy, and the site has to draw that line clearly without sounding defensive.
The solution
- A free five-day email course as the entry point — one lesson a day, each a usable tool rather than a teaser for the paid programme.
- A qualification section that says plainly who the coaching is not for, so unsuitable enquiries filter themselves out before a call is booked.
- Six concrete outcomes named on the page — command presence, team leadership, communication, decision making, career clarity, resilience — instead of adjectives.
- The coaching programme laid out as four stages, so a visitor can see the shape of the commitment before applying.
- Two ways to make contact: a structured application for the programme, and WhatsApp for everything else.
- Deliberately kept out of search results at the client's request, so the site works as a destination for people he sends there.
